To continuing on our home builder story of the whole house remodel project.
The following pictures show the home at a point where the drywall has been hung and the screws along with the butt joints of the drywall have received their second coat of drywall mud. We first use the drywall mud to skim the joints and cover the screw giving you a flat media to work off of.
Once this process is completed we then add a texture to the wall as selected by the owner or the Architect. Since this texture is hand applied there can be multiple textures to choose from (heavy, medium or lighter with variations in between) depending on the client preference. Other options are smooth wall where we don’t apply any texture or a spray on texture called orange peel.
